Kindergarten Teacher

|
| Roberta Tabert (Bobby) does double duty at Mountain Peak as Director and Kindergarten teacher. Bobby begins her 8th year at Mountain Peak and continues to run the best Kindergarten program around. A graduate of the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Bobby holds a State of Colorado Teacher License in Early Childhood Education and in K-12 Physical Education. The state also recognizes Bobby as Director qualified for a Large Child Care Center. Bobby has taken postgraduate courses in Educational Psychology, Implementing Standards, Zoo-phonics, and Exceptionality, Diversity, and Human Relations. For eight years Bobby was the Director and Kindergarten teacher at the Longmont Learning Center. Following that, she worked with special education students as an aide and as a summer school teacher. Substitute teaching, including a long term Kindergarten position, and a year with Boulder County Head Start, round out her extensive teaching experience. Both of her children are grown, but she continues to be involved in Girl Scouts. She is an excellent seamstress and enjoys making quilts. Bobby's desire for every child's success, an ability to break down tasks into basic components, and a willingness to "get messy" to bring a lesson to life create a dynamic and fun classroom. |
